In 1628, the estate was the property of Mr. Bouschassy, « First Consul of the town of Roquemaure ». The old bourgeois residence still bears his name today. |

In the 18th century, by a « Royal decree », the Roquemaure consuls and magistrates identified the casks by branding the letters C.D.R. (« Coste du Rhône ») on them. Certificates of origin were issued to the producers thus giving birth to the actual appellation. |

The Degoul family acquired this 30 hectare' vine property in 1973. It is now managed by the son, Gérard Degoul, a trained oenologist who started estate-bottling in 1980. Already 59 medals won at the Paris and Macon Competitions have rewarded the Château's efforts. |
